Sustainable Urban Competitiveness from a Financial Development Perspective: An Empirical Study of China

The development of the financial industry directly affects sustainable competitiveness a city and even an economic region, urban finance helps to enhance city. This paper firstly reviews relevant theories explains impact mechanism on in developing regions. It then draws data 17 prefecture-level cities Central China from 2006 2020. uses quantitative research methods, such as principal component analysis regression analysis, analyse study factors that influence competitiveness, thus realising purpose enhancing competitiveness. After in-depth following conclusions: (1) is conducive improving regions; (2) local government should focus not only expanding scale development, but also quality adjusting structure, efficiency, actively promoting opening markets innovation products.
